Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps – NPLO Series

Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps - NPLO Series

with helical 4-wing

THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR PUMPING IN THE WINE AND OIL INDUSTRY

The Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps – NPLO Series are used in food hygiene, chemical/biochemical and for pumping in the wine and oil industry.

They have compact dimensions that allow them to be used in limited spaces.

The Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps – NPLO Series allow reduced pulsation, with thepossibility of higher rotation speed for better volumetric efficiency, low noise and limited vibration on the piping.

They are self-priming up to 6-7 m, can work dry for short periods, and have reversible flow in both directions.

Ease of maintenance and cleaning without disassembling the piping: the standard equipment of the removable front cover allows immediate access to the pumping chamber, permitting rapid replacement of all spare parts (lobes, wear plates and mechanical seals) with a significant reduction in plant downtime and lower maintenance costs.

The Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps – NPLO Series are designed and manufactured in accordance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004, they have the ability to create vacuum allowing suction even in unloaded pipe conditions and have a hygienically correct configuration of components and machine, thanks also to the presence of the quench oil chamber that creates an intermediate chamber between the gear-box and the pump housing; this chamber is filled with NSF H1 certified oil, according to FDA requirements, suitable for accidental contact with foodstuffs.

These pumps can use different types of process connections according to international standards (EN, DIN, ANSI, GAS and others) or have a special design.

In basic configuration they are supplied in AISI 316 SS material, with interchangeable AISI 316 SS wear plates in the front and radial walls of the housing /cover.

The Agri-food Rotary Lobe Pumps – NPLO Series achieve flow rates up to 80 m3/h and pressures up to 10 bar.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

The lobes and wear plates can be easily replaced by simply removing the front cover, without having to dismantle the pump housing or piping.

The lid front cover is supplied in AISI 316 SS.

Internal removable plates in nitrided AISI 316 SS.

Externally cured rubber on cast iron core, in a wide range of elastomers suitable for food contact (NBR, EDPM, and others on request).

The helical 4-wing geometry allows pulsation to be significantly reduced.

Different types of process connections are available according to international standards (EN, DIN, ANSI and others) or in special designs.

The pump housing is supplied in AISI 316 SS.

Mechanical seal with conical rings: easy assembly and disassembly and very small footprint (no measurements are required as the seal is loaded with the pump assembly). Base material AISI 316 with ceramic or tungsten carbide coating. Self-lubrication in an oil bath. Materiali base AISI 316 con rivestimento in ceramica o carburo di tungsteno. Auto-lubrificazione in bagno d’olio.

Synchronised precision gears with a 1:1 ratio allow concentric counter-rotation of the lobes. Pairs of high-strength tapered roller bearings. Depending on the version, there is the option of having a separation chamber between the pump compartment and the gearbox, eliminating the possibility of any product contamination and allowing constant lubrication of the mechanical seals.

In addition, an NSF H1-certified oil suitable for incidental contact with foodstuffs is used.
