BM SERIES macerators
BM SERIES macerators are designed to be installed along the wastewater suction line or in the vicinity of a sludge pump, allowing the pumped product to be homogenised and the downstream process to be improved, while protecting the pumps from debris and fibres in solution. The use of macerators brings benefits to the equipment related to: lower running costs, better cutting performance, lower power requirements, high performance, fewer spare parts, easy maintenance and reduced downtime for routine servicing.
In addition, they provide benefits to the process by ensuring the protection of the pump and the production of a pre-conditioned pumped medium.
The BM SERIES macerators are successfully used in the WWTP and industrial industry, and are made with a compact cast iron housing, self-compensating cutting blades, self-lubricated mechanical seal in an oil bath, a bottom for storing heavy objects and cleaning flaps.
The BM SERIES macerators have process connections according to international standard EN 1092-1 PN16 and are supplied in basic configuration in CAST IRON material.
BM SERIES macerators achieve product treatment flow rates up to 360 m3/h and pressures from -1 bar to +4 bar.
Inserting the in-line into the plant
The pump is protected from solids
Efficient cutting system that prevents clogging
Fund for storing stones and metal objects
Integrated cover for inspection and housing cleaning
Plates with various hole diameters for every application
Support with a pair of bearings lubricated for life. IEC interface with motorisation. Interfaccia IEC con motorizzazione.
Mechanical seal with self-lubricated tungsten carbide faces in an oil bath.
Stainless steel sleeving fully protects shaft from medium.
Totally enclosed spring housing for compensating cutter mechanism.
3/4 inch plug for pressure gauge (BM 300 / 400 only).
All macerators are equipped with a standard cutter plate made of alloyed and hardened steel 50-55 HRC, smaller hole sizes are available on request.
Note that the flow rate decreases with hole size.
It consists of a self-compensating rotary blade with tungsten carbide inserts and a stationary perforated plate made of hardened alloy steel that can be dismantled on site with assembled plant piping.
Material CAST IRON with EN process connections in line with plant piping.
Presence of a cover for cleaning and removal of stones and/or metal objects lodged in the bottom of the pump housing.
